Calcata is a small town which, even though it's only 40 km. north of Rome, it's been able to keep its historical and natural patrimony intact.
Its cultural reality was further enriched when, at the end of the 70's the actual inhabitants began to replace the original ones.
They come from all over Italy and all over the world attracted by the nature and by the all ways of the original inhabitants who had lived in equilibrium with that nature until only a few years earlier.
The new comers renewed life in Historical Centre and outside it. Dozens of iniziatives contributed to giving a new impulse to the village.
